About the Author

Bob Kerrey is a Vietnam War veteran and former U.S. Senator from Nebraska. He served in the Navy SEALs from 1966 to 1969, and he was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions in combat. After the war, Kerrey returned to Nebraska and earned a law degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1988, and he served until 2001.
