Acton Academy is a network of learner-driven schools that is turning learning upside down. By putting the learner at the center of the learning process, Acton Academy schools are creating a new model of education that is more engaging, effective, and personalized than traditional schooling.

The Acton Academy model is based on the belief that all children are natural learners. Given the right environment and support, children can learn anything they set their minds to. Acton Academy schools provide this environment and support by:

  • Putting the learner at the center of the learning process. In traditional schools, the teacher is the center of the learning process. The teacher decides what students will learn, how they will learn it, and when they will learn it. In Acton Academy schools, the learner is the center of the learning process.
